Also is their a partial year insurance plan that is really cheap so lets say you only use the truck for 2-3 months then you put it on non op insurance ?

If you take the insurance off of a truck then the tag has to be turned in. Pretty sure it is the same rule for all 50 states on that one. As for show truck it should be relatively inexpensive - For the Physical Damage estimate 3 - 4% of the value, Cargo obviously does not apply. Liability would depend on mileage and how many states you want to take it to. If you have your own company with insurance loss runs showing very little claim activity you should be good. Is it just a show truck or do you also use it to haul? May want to make sure you have an Agreed Value policy vs Actual Cash Value policy. Depending on the specifics an insurance program by Hagerty's may be the way to go. They write policies through Chubb Insurance. Hope this helps!

I would only be traveling in 1 state maybe 5000 miles or so.

I would like to haul my own belongings firewood, vehicles etc no commerce involved
can you do that with a show truck policy?

what would be your guess on the cost for 750K liability insurance?

PM me a photo of the truck and the value you want it insured for along with the city and state it will be garaged at and I will see if I can come up with something.

Most every company will write a policy for a show or antique truck.

Truck insurance is always based on an 'agreed value' policy so if you want to insure your '87 White-GMC for $1,000,000 and the company agrees to it they will do it... for a price, of course.

Look into Hagerty insurance. They offer specialized policies for antique trucks. They allow limited hauling (ie: hauling your second show truck to the show). They might be able to help you with your show truck. In my experience they understand the truck hobbyist much better than other companies seem to. Other companies seem to have trouble seeing the difference between hobbyists and commercial users.

Gulfway also specializes in antique/show truck policies, but I have no experience with them. They also mention specific coverage for race car haulers.
