Another great post from a drive-by who screwed up and wants to blame everybody else for all of his problems. Call the government and see if you can get a bail out.

'Ole Shelby, never trust a guy that puts his smiley picture in each ad. Shelby has been around along time in the Kansas City area either selling trucks for others or in business for himself the last several years. He deals in owner operator large cars, big sleeper trucks and old school rides that are way over priced and is known to get the dead beats financed at some pretty high interest rates. If you deal with him you better check the truck out and double check it and then have someone else check it before buying it.

I went to his place years ago when he ran Transport Trade another used truck lot and he had a bunch of 359's and A - model KW's. Most needed a lot of work and were over priced but he said he had all the stuff to make it look like new for a price. Their has been a lot of nice rides gone threw his place over the years I think this guy just walked in their and seen this large car and his eyes got bigger then his pecker and they was able to finance him and he never checked it out except drive it around the block with no air in the seat.

He moved from off I-70 to off I-55, I believe. I don't know how quickly he made the move. He is still in Missouri.

hmm thinking this is a fly by poster they haven't been back to reply. and what fool don't get a truck checked out to be sure of what there buying?? sounds like someone didn't know what they were doing maybe and blame the other guy. hmm if he was such a crook i don't think he would be in bussiness though i never have done bussiness with him. though was looking at his inventory most of the odomiters seem kinda high for me as far as what id'e use the truck for and maintance and service calls wich would be through the roof with that high of milage on em

High mileage doesn't necessarily mean that you will spend an astronomical amount of money on maintenance. If maintenance has been done along then there is no reason to expect a significantly higher level of maintenance than a truck with lower miles. Some high mileage trucks have had in frames and major components rebuilt. You need to check any purchase out thoroughly, regardless of miles or age. With age and miles things do tend to wear out, but someone else may have gone to that expense prior to your looking at the truck.

I'm noticing a trend.... some guys comes in and rants with one long sentence that's longer than mosts paragraphs... no punctuation, and very hard to understand... usually doesn't include any real info other than... "#### that John Smith guy".

Ranting is fine..whatever, but if you really want to express an opinion and do some good for your side of the argument, post enough info so folks do have to have double degrees in criminal science and early Neanderthal literature to figure it out.
