Anyone that does line haul inbound to this place. Expect a half a day here minimum to be unloaded.
Last year this time when I was OTR, I spent 14 hours here.
I'm local now, hourly so I love coming here. But line haulers, you are warned, build at least a half a day into your rate.

    fargonaz and visoiuvlad Thank this.

I feel your pain. Im in the same boat as you. But honestly, i dont mind only straight time. I do well enough. If i made O/T i may feel like im robbing someone for the amount of work i do.

There's times when I don't work hard either. I have full sleeper cab I use for my local deliveries, and yes it is a squeeze at times, but some places like this dairy, I stretch out and nap for 3 hours on the clock. Now there's lots of days, and sometimes many in a row, I do have to get busy, especially when I have a lot of pick ups.
But if your a line driver coming to this place, God love you.

I have now been at Shamrock for 5 hours 50 minutes as of this posting, so far this morning.
    On time for 2359 appointment.

There was another 5 hour Shamrock trip about a month ago.

There have been two that had somewhat normal unload times, two hours.

How tough is life really in Phoenix at Shamrock you ask?

OK. Doors closed, empty call sent at 0620.
So that's only about 7 hours involved here from the time I arrived.
Thank God for e logs or we'd really have problems.

Shamrock has a new parking lot for trucks, and it's really nice.

Those that are veterans of being punished with Shamrock loads know you used to have to line the streets around the facility, perhaps parking a half mile away.

No more. Brand new, even lit and paved parking lot for about 40 or so trucks.

Wonder what the lawsuit was worth that took them to build this lot?
