So talking to my recruiter and you know the question comes up, "have had any other licenses"? I tell her about my Florida drivers license and she needs the number. I can't find my Florida license, it's around here somewhere. If they pull up everything anyway why can't they just get the license number from my background information? I had that license for only 6 months did'nt have a car, but did drive the company van. So I see the reasoning behind it....grrrrr
seriously they want my old license number from another state

How far back was the Florida license, and one would think they can get the information while doing the background check.

Maybe the car driver's license had a different number than your CDL license? They just may want to make sure you did indeed have a valid driver's license.

I have been licensed in five states and might be moving my licensing state again. I can remember my Oregon, Washington, California and Texas license numbers. Michigan? Fahgeddabouditt! Had to write that one down.

I've had licenses in 3 states. NM, Iowa and now Texas. I remember my NM and Iowa (back then Iowa used your SSN) but TX I can't seem to remember it!
NM got ingrained in my mind since I had to enter it when fueling during my time at Stevens. -
Yeah, I can remember the first 3 and the last 4 of number strange.
