Excellent company! You can't hardly go wrong pulling tanks and they are top notch. If they will hire you, I would take the job. I talk to them all the time at customers. There's no way I would move to Bryan and I already do work for an equally great company so I will stay put. I won't get into particulars because I don't know their pay structure first hand but you will bring home more than $1000 bucks a week working 5 days easily. If anything ever happened to my current situation, I would consider the 3 hour drive to work every week and three hour drive home. Not sure of their hiring area but I'm sure it's within 100 or so miles of Bryan.

Thanks Dna Mach, appreciate the response. Their website shows a team operation and 90 to 100k. Wondering how true it is. I see their trucks between San Antonio and flatonia at least twice a week doing a safety check but I always go by them before I realize the logo on the door.

No problem, their trailers say "Sentinal Transport - Bryan Texas on the back. They haul flow improver to the upper midwest and Canada. I believe they do 5-10 stops per trip and return to Bryan empty. Those are teams but I have talked to a solo driver with them before. He said he never left Texas. I would defiantly give them a call and check them out.

Thanks again. I would hope that sentinel would be one of the jobs that is shielded against a bad economy or the volatility of the price fluctuations of oil.

That's a very valid concern. I think they are one of the better bulk carriers and they seem to invest quite a bit into their drivers and equipment. That leads me to believe they have the capability to fill those tanks with any number of products and they have thought about that possibility too. The good thing about flow improver is that it is non placarded, non haz mat. So much less of a hassle pulling non haz mat fluids.

I did notice that their tanks were not placarded. I've heard all sorts of rumors about these guys but still trying to decipher what is real and what is just super trucker talk. I do know they run 60 mph and they have cameras. I figured that this forum would be the perfect place to ask.

We are as close to working directly for Phillips66 as u can get great benefits and retirement and pay. I'm not shure about the location your talking about but I'm shure it's just as good as what we have here in CA. Also if you don't like it there u can always transfer to another location.
