It is a done deal and not as hard as I imagined it would be. It required 2 state forms and 1 FMCSA form/verbal communication with a FMCSA supervisor and bam. Also a little to do in the background with your PUCO and your consortium and of course setting a end date for your insurance policy.
I would recommend the buyer speaks your language/dialect and was born and raised in the US of A but that is just me and what I decided to do. You had better believe the "others" tried but I declined.
I will do a full write up here concerning the forms and how to use Zelle (money direct into your account with zero recourse for the buyer who put it there so they are making a leap of faith...not you) to get paid so you (the seller) are not taking any chances. I just need to collect my thoughts and reflect back on the last decade for a moment.
What a ride it has been!

One thing I did pick up during this procedure.....I am a sole proprietor LLC....if you are a S corp you would need to sell all of your "stock" to the buyer. I am not sure how that would work.
Siinman, gokiddogo and Rideandrepair Thank this. -

How much did you sell it for?

A word of caution. A lot of the people wanting to buy your authority and MC number are either brokers or agents for brokers. A lot of them are from Eastern European countries or countries on the African continent.
TTR will attempt to weed out the obvious hustlers and fakes but there's no way we can get them all. We'll try but law of averages isn't in our favor.
