Ok folks I'm new to flatbed and haven't hauled these before. Have no idea how many or even what type of Counterweights they are, dispatch just said 1 load of crane Counterweights.
Who's all got pics of different types of Counterweights and your securement? Any pointers?

Did they tell you how many?

Most likely be a tower cranes weights.

Hit them up for more info. Or contact the shipper for info so then you can prepare and not go in blind.

They could be any kind of crane counterweight, but one thing they all have in common is they're heavy. Found out what they weigh and throw some chains or straps over.

Just like @johndeere4020 said chains or straps. If your like me. Chain the front and rear to keep from sliding. Then throw four chains over and every strap on the trailer. Why. Because you can. And since I get paid 100% tarp pay, pray they call for it to be tarped. - It probably won't though.

Occasionally they'll be concrete counterweights and require straps, that's about the only odd situation I can think of.

I let mine sit on thick strips of rubber. Probably could have chained across the front to stop it sliding forward in a crash, but weights that heavy don't move even in a rollover.
