I was wondering if anyone had any info on SEC driving school right outside of Jackson, Mississippi.

I have a CDL Class A license, and I was over the road years ago, from 1996 to 1998. Then I worked a local job in Tupelo, Miss until 2000. After that I went to college, which was a big mistake because I've been looking for a job ever since I graduated in 2003. That's all I do is look for jobs, and notthing pays enough to get myself out from under these student loans.

SEC driving school in Jackson has a "refresher" course for CDL Class A drivers who have not been out on the road. It costs $1,500.

I was wondering if this school is accredited, and if they can place me with a decent OTR company.

Any info on this school that anyone can share will be appreciated.

I recently graduated from sec training center. There is usually one instructor working all four maneuvers so you have to figure things out for yourself. There were about 30 students on the yard so I would drive maybe 30 minutes out of a ten hour day. Most of the time at least one truck is broken down so they have to take trucks off the maneuvers to go out on the road leaving the yard even more crowded. There were also students openly drinking and the staff and administration would say nothing. When it was finally time to start road training they tried to force me to ride with someone who was obviously intoxicated and smelling strongly of alcohol . When I refused the instructor told me it would set me back at least a week which it did . I would suggest going to any other driving school other than this one.

Have you tried somewhere like Prime, I don't know if they offer just a refresher course or not, but they do pay pretty good while you are in training compared to most companies. They drive lightbody trucks which pays a nickle more per mile after training, unless you are a team or trainer later on you do not get a full size truck.
