The 04 International 9900 I drive on the weekends is riding only slightly better than what I imagine a buckboard behind a mule is like. The shocks across the back don't look like they've ever been changed and the cab might as well be bolted straight to the frame rails. I am trying to get them to put shocks on it and fix the cab where it'll move like it's supposed to. If that doesn't get it more comfortable, then the next step will be a good seat I guess. I don't need one that has 10 different switches for who knows what. Just a good comfortable seat that has a good lumbar support and isn't going to cost a small fortune. Anyone have any suggestions?

sorry about the delayed response, been out and about. I have one in my truck for two years and this is a winch truck in the north Dakota oil patch. I get in and out about a two dozen times a day. the leather just gets soft and the cushions have held up very well. the new one I just bought is to replace the jump seat. now I have a matching set. got a friend that drives a western star, he bought a high dollar unit from the star dealer, nearly twice the price, and his driver said mine is ten times more comfortable than his. I am very pleased!!

I've had a Legacy Silver (2 buttons) for about 4 months now. It works well. It's a big wide seat. It's actually a little too wide in my Columbia because of the drivers side arm rest. But it is more comfortable than the worn out National. The thing about this seat is that the bottom cushion comes our way farther than the National does. This supports the thigh better and, I believe, lessens strain on the knees.

Bostrom or knoedler gets my vote, two of my buddies have the legacy's and they like them, but its just not for me.If your looking for a plush feeling seat go bostrom, if you like the firmer tighter leather feel go knoedler. Since your having lumbar issues I would try and get a seat with either the dual or tri lumber support( I think the tri is knoedler). But I love my bostom, had over 500k on when I bought from a local guy for $150, who only bought a new because he had to have some new seat I never heard of because it was multi color and match his truck better.

ive got 3 buddies who shortened air ride adjustment rod to lower it so frame was more level instead of nose down . on 2007 internationals ride is night and day better so far no driveline issues they its supposedly harder on driveline though this was done on new trucks 800000 miles ago

Well, I had new shocks put all the way around the truck and 2 new ones on the cab air ride assembly. That got it better, but it still wasn't right. I found the directions for setting the suspension and the cab. I guess I should thank God almighty that gomer and goober truck repair got the shocks replaced. I sent it back after that because the cab wouldn't move. Any truck with an air ride cab should be able to move up and down without a lot of effort. I finally got tired of waiting for them to adjust the d a m n cab and did it myself. I took a half inch impact and got the lateral bar bolts out (they were seized a bit). And then, I set the cab leveling valve so the cab would move, took me all of 30 minutes, MORONS! I went ahead and requested a new legacy silver seat. It was supposed to show up 2 weeks ago and hasn't still. The excuse this week is that the seat had to be "specially built" for this truck. Has anyone here ever heard of such nonsense?
