Just would like to know if any of y'all pumpkin drivers are on this medication. I've been prescribed the medicine just haven't taken it. I don't want my trucking career to end before it begins. I talked to Schneider but no one could give me a straight answer.

you need to speak with the medical dept.
Manuel361 Thanks this. -
It's an anti depressant. Probably not a problem, but I hear the withdrawal from it is severe. Can also cause involuntary nerve spasms (tics).

You are going to need a doctor to sign off on it.
It is not long ago DOT has loosened up a little bit with mental health medications.
My VA Spouse has successfully disconnected from any mental health medications due to reasons not connected with trucking and more towards being able to stay free and independant from what the VA does to those deemed mentally issues.
There is a price with some of those kinds of medicines as indicated by LindaPV, I would prefer you not to take anything like that.
Trucking should be it's own medication, the USA is so vast and beautiful to behold and enjoy once you get clear of the city. -

I appreciate all the feedback, yea got them only as a last resort, it's been over a year since I had a really bad panic attack. I guess the problem I'll have is being away that I'm not sure how I'll cope with among other things.
Waggledaddy Thanks this. -
Sertraline side effects is where your problems are at, believe it says not to operate equipment and also makes you prone to falls.

Even if DOT approves it SNI has a stricter policy about medications. Get it in writing from SNI that it's an approved med.
Waggledaddy and gentleroger Thank this. -
I have taken Sertraline for years with no side effects or issues. Interestingly enough, my last DOT physical was by a doctor who used to consult for Schneider and he gave me a form for my doctor to sign off on to cover my ###....I never did though. He was very thorough with the entire physical, very unlike any other one I had ever gotten.
Manuel361 and Waggledaddy Thank this.
