Drive for a few years to see if it's your lifestyle and save around 10k. Only around 15% of lease operators make it. Companies will make it sound awesome and all to sign your life away with a lease.

 

Get the tanker/hazmat endorsements and probably find a local tanker job in a few months such as with Venezia Transport Service and a dozen others.

I tried it many years ago and didn't like it. Maybe it's better now. The pay was horrible then, but I understand it's much better now.
I prefer long haul trucking, but containers and other local jobs are ok for some drivers.

Google : Old Dominion Freight Lines and check if there's any terminals near you. Their line haul jobs are really good and just drop & hook. The P&D are all city work doing pickup and delivery.
They hire new grads also.
