Hello I'm almost finished with my cdl training here in nj I question is does schneider have a lot of local runs in nj to stay around and not be out on the road all week

Get the tanker/hazmat endorsements and probably find a local tanker job in a few months such as with Venezia Transport Service and a dozen others.

Ok what's ur take on containers hauling

I tried it many years ago and didn't like it. Maybe it's better now. The pay was horrible then, but I understand it's much better now.
I prefer long haul trucking, but containers and other local jobs are ok for some drivers.
Google : Old Dominion Freight Lines and check if there's any terminals near you. Their line haul jobs are really good and just drop & hook. The P&D are all city work doing pickup and delivery.
They hire new grads also. -
Ok hopefully one thing about nj is the ports
