I live in the phoenix area, is anyone based out of the Schneider phoenix o.c ? Is it an actual operating center with showers etc.. Or just a place to park the truck ?

I'm not a Schneider driver, but its a full OC. They even do training here.

I'm running out of there. It is a legitimate Schneider OC with office staff and a shop. The driver's lounge leaves much to be desired, and there aren't any showers but that's not terribly relevant to someone who lives in Phoenix. The unpaved lot is a muddy messed when it rains.

-edited to address the post above:
As a new hire with no experience I had to go to Fontana for training. I believe the training reps there are for check-rides. Maybe road testing for experienced drivers?

Phoenix is barebones. No showers. They have a small room with a TV for drivers and a ice machine and that is about it. PHX is right about the parking lot after it rains. Rather stay at the T/S at exit 137.

    Not nearly.

Less convenient getting back on the interstate, no fuel islands, and lacks that big, beautiful paved lot. French Camp is my favorite OC because it has all the conveniences of Fontana (sans short-order cooks) without the crowd. I was really disappointed to see the 'For Sale' sign hung in front for it.

French camp OC is/was a dump last time I was there. Have they cleaned it up in the last 2 years? Plenty of parking though...

The only change they've made is they closed down the maintenance shop. Haven't been there is 2 years either. They're pulling services from there so I highly doubt they are adding/improving anything.

The only good things about French Camp is the parking. The towels are like 80 grit sand paper. Trans flow never seems to be working. 1 of the 2 fuel islands is always not working. You can order food and they will deliver and bring it upstairs to you. When I was there last week, the ice machine was not working.
