I am starting orientation on Sunday. I received my final instructions today and they gave me a hotel to stay in, but I live less than 15 miles from the OC. My recruiter is on vacation and the woman who is working his files won't call me back. Do I HAVE to stay in that hotel or can I drive or have my wife drop me off every day? Seems stupid to make me stay in a hotel when I just live around the corner from the terminal.

I live 38 miles from the Charlotte oc and was given the choice.I stayed in motel.
-
38 miles is a decent commute. 15 miles is way to close for me not to sleep in my own bed for as long as I can. LOL. Ive been out on the road for 3 years and my bed is a little more comfortable than that truck. LOL.

If you do stay at home make sure you are not late.If I lived that close I would sleep in my own bed.
-
late isn't in my vocabulary. Ill be there at 7am. I would rather be an hour early than a minute late.
-
I hear ya.

hel i would stay in motel to get away from wife,,lol
-
LOL Sixpack. I happen to want to BE with mine.

the problem with staying at home and being dropped off if they let you out early is then your stuck also if they go late your wife is stuck waiting now if you drive every day and know you'll be on time then i'd stay at home. There's no way they can make you stay.
