Does anyone how much my pay will bump up after three months with Schneider? Right now I’m barely making anything.

    Cherokee65 and Chinatown Thank this.

When I left back in 2021 it was 45cpm. Did my 9 months and got out.

Low pay is the main reason I rarely recommend Schneider. Sometimes Schneider fits the situation though.

    Cherokee65 and bzinger Thank this.

Are you under contract with Schneider? 3 mos. experience is good for some companies. Is leaving is an option for you?

Your pay increase will depend on:
    • What type(s) of freight you are pulling
    • Your general area/location
    • Your experience level
    • Your safety record
    • Your endorsements (if any)
    • Your performance (i.e., total safe miles) for the quarter in qtn
    • and still other factors (like what you may have agreed to)
If you're not happy with your pay at Schneider -- when permissible -- switch over to another type of freight &/or account.

When I switched over to intermodal -- my pay situation got better.

Other guys....who had still more experience...were doing pretty well in intermodal.

Schneider is NOT a "one-trick pony". There are numerous ways/freight types there to get experience, & make money.

Think of your 1st year or two of driving as an "apprenticeship"...where you are actually BEING PAID to learn a skill set.

If you were a student elsewhere -- you'd be paying out-of-pocket for whatever knowledge they would offer you.

Lual pretty much nailed it. Depends on a variety of factors, mainly your job/account. Where do you work and what is your job? I do know after 90 days you are now eligible to apply to transfer jobs, within Schneider. Intermodal is the highest paying job that Schneider offers for drivers with 3 months experience. The lower paying accounts are generally the van accounts. I am on the dollar general fresh account myself and I’m making a lot more money than my previous company. It’s still less than what advertised, but it works for me.

Historically, it was 2 cpm at 3 months, another 2 at 6 months, and one more at 1 year, but things have changed a lot and I stopped paying attention years ago. You need to talk to your DTL or Ops manager and nail their foot to the floor about it.
