    Hi All

I have conditional been accepted by Schneider up here in Milwaukee. But they are asking about a an incident that occurred 6 years ago that was non-DOT. Basically, my truck that I was leasing was hit while I was in the shower. Is that Legal? I called the company I worked for and was told that it's three years old and so there would not be any detailed records. Also, they could not report it to any company because its over three years old. are they up to something?

    thanks

a company can ask and require anything they want as long as they don't ask your sex, race, religion,if you are married, etc.

Even though most companies and insurance companies only look at the last 3 years of your record except for drug or alcohol convictions they can if they want consider anything on your driving record going back as far as they want,,If they want they can disqualify you from working for them for just about any reason pertaining to your experience and driving record. They can even not hire a person with any kind of criminal record, they can even consider you personal appearance, long hair, tattoos, short, fat tall or skinny , if you eat meat, are a vegetarian, your politics just about anything they want

It looks as though Schneider Trucking is quite "selective" in their hiring of truck drivers. It could very well be that their insurance companies are "dictating" the hiring process.

10 million I do believe. Also they check your records and compare to your application
If it shows on your records they ask about it. Be truthful and you'll be ok

They asked me about a time my truck got backed into at a ta while i was eating inside. I told them about it, Conway verified my story, and all was well with the universe.

    TennMan Thanks this.

They ask to make sure what you say, your record says and tour former company say all match. You'd be amazed at the number of "I was inside and got hit" that turn out to be "Ididnt get my lazy ### out of the truck and look so I hit something".

mickimause, drvrtech77 and TennMan Thank this.
