Has anyone had any problems with the Scanguage KR? I just recieved my Scanguage KR on friday. I plugged it in and it connected with no issues. The problems are, after 10 seconds or so the display goes blank, and the only two gauges that work are the speedometer and the volt meter. This is on an 02 International 9200i with an ISM370. I have checked the connection several times and switched ports on the Scanguage itself. I have also reset the Scangauge to the factory defaults more than once, and also set it for the specific connector I use for the truck. Does anyone have any ideas, or do I possibly have a defective unit? Thanks in advance for the help.

don't jknow who you're referring too. but i like my scangauge. very useful tool that was much cheaper then installing the gauges i don't have already.

not to mention it pulls codes and resets the ecm also.

say what you want. but my $160 was money well spent. it was going to cost me $400 for a boost gauge ALONE.

Why dont ya get out of yer cranky ol rut and keep dumb comments to yerself. KR never 'made' him buy it, only suggested it. It is the purchaser who has the final decision in case ya didnt realize that.

I'm not sure I want to buy anything from someone who has said that truckers don't need to stick together and that driving a truck is so simple that you coulld teach a monkey to do it.

After hearing those two statements in the past couple of weeks I know I'm not listening to the show any more.

There has been some modifications to software to smooth the mpg readout and allow you to enter data so you can have an instant readout of your profit. Cool idea except that the base number for all calculations, the ECM MPG, is off

what exactly would you call "stick together"? anytime I hear someone use that term they are talking about a nation wide strike, or boycott of a state or shipper. what economic benefit would I have by" sticking together" in those examples? in fact there is a great economic benefit by not " sticking together". maybe it's just me, but that term just screams out teamster union. organized crime bosses and union leadership were they only ones to have ever benefited from that union.

as for monkeys, Hell ive said for over a decade any trained monkey can drive a truck. It's called metaphor. the vast majority of truck driving jobs are classified as unskilled labor. Same as ditch digging, janatorial, bussing tables, etc etc. not all truck driving jobs, but by far the majority of them.
all ya gotta do is take a look at the average mega carrier driver, I doubt ten percent of them even know how to adjust their brakes. or how about accident rates? the majority of accidents happen while the transmission is in reverse. because people will not take the 10 seconds to get out and look to make sure they have clearance.
those are trademarks of the trained monkey, aka steering wheel holder.
