You probably mean The Garlic in Gilroy, that's what my Google search found

Any update to this? Looking for parking in San Jose and the Peninsula. Maybe down by Lexington Quarry. Working for ROCKERY.

The entire bay area is a crap shoot because there really aren't any truck stops ANYWHERE. Find an out of the way industrial park without no parking signs and keep your fingers crossed you don't get a ticket. People in the bay area hate trucks but love the stuff the trucks bring them. Your best bet is probably parking south of San Jose in the Gilroy area and coming up to the peninsula when your load is ready.

For the most part, the greater Bay Area is a no truck parking zone. Back in the late 70’s the powers that be, basically outlawed truck stops. Plenty of places to get fuel, mostly card locks, but no parking. Plenty of places to get service work done, but no parking. Very few motels have any truck parking. On street parking is heavily restricted. Don’t even think about ramp parking. Not a lot of “rest areas” either. Trucking operators in the region have terminals, yards or other arrangements for off street parking of equipment.

A lot depends on where your going. Always check with your shipper/receiver about parking. Don’t be surprised if it’s no.

Gilroy has the Garlic, but it’s small and fills quickly.
Anything else is in the Central Valley.
Depending on your location, traffic conditions and your destination could be 2 to 4 hours from one of the truck stops out in the valley. A good wreck and all bets are off.

  11. I know a warehouse that has parking and tons of space..... The Tennant just moved out. It's in San Leandro just off the 580/880
