Anybody know anything about this company whether good or bad? They are out of Indy. I guess they haul electronics and speciality freight (no furniture). I did a search on here but didn't see anything. Thanks!

Are looking to do spec com. ? or hhg ?

I'm with another United agent, don't run for Safeway. I have talked to a couple of their drivers. Didn't hear any complaints, but didn't really ask either. Are looking at being a company driver or O/O?
Heard through the grapevine that they are very busy. Hired a salesman from another agent and they're keeping everybody hopping.madaxeman Thanks this. -

Hey Madaxeman, I used to work for safeway in the office. They do not do HHG moves, it is strictly special commodities, electronics, tradeshows, along with cabinet accounts. Most of the spec com and electronics have labor built into the linehaul to help unload the shipments. The cabinet accounts require you to take the boxes to the end of the trailer, and the shipper is responsible to take them off the truck. You would have to downstack and secure shipments as you go along. Company drivers are paid by the mile, detention time would apply depending on the tariff or contract, stop pay, per diem weekly, and you are paid for your 34 out on the road. It is a small company, but they do know you by your name instead of being a truck number. They do have an open door policy, and if you feel the ops manager isn't addressing your concerns then you can go talk to Ed in person.
Also most of the runs really aren't short haul, but most drivers averaged 2200 to 2800 miles weekly. I hope that gives you any info that you wanted.
