safety/ smith system

I use it and teach it to new drivers, highly recommended.

I even taught it to my 16 year old son when he learn to drive four wheelers

 

rule #1. Always be aware of your surroundings. I beleive they teach you that in drivers ed.

 

I was taught the "Smith System" some 50 years ago. It has stuck with me over the years and I catch myself not using it sometimes and have to give me a big whack across the rear.

 

I never heard of the Smith System, or maybe I did, but cant remember. I like the structure of it.
I sat in my truck about a month ago, and had to write down my time sheet, when I signed out. I even found all my delivery sheets each stop, and town, but could not remember going anywhere, to any of them. Then l found my log off time on the qual comm. but I could not remember going anywhere that day. Don't know what the heck that was all about, I has happen a couple of times to me.

 

One of the best training tools around. Use it , it works !

They should add a number 6 to the Smith System. If in doubt, get out and look
