No, that is not the correct way of wiring in a manual fan switch.

I don't know what DDEC version your series 60 is because you didn't specify...

I would check PSL in the A&I guide and do it correctly if you want a manual fan override:

Normally when it’s running, and not engaged it will still be spinning somewhat, be it slowly or even at a good pace, but is freewheeling not engaged, till you turn the switch on, or temp sensor trips the selinoid , or high pressure a/c switch causes the fan to engage.

update maybe i tried earlier today 1. I went to fan with key off and spinned the fan by hand, 2. unplug the air to the fan was still able to spin it.
    3. Turn key on and plug air to fan up not able to spin .

    HELP!!!

What’s the problem? Fan working or not working when needed. Normal operation symptoms, getting hot? Only hot at idle, no fan? What’s different from normal?

Fan spinning when not needed so your fuel is just being dumped

That’s a common problem on those. They come on for no reason in middle of winter. Might be a bad pdmi box. Sits in fuse panel on bottom. Replaces 4 different sensors, temp being one of them.

They also had a tech bulletin on it. My 99 had the problem. More than likely, that’s his problem. The fix included a splice kit, that went into the harness to control the selinoid. I did it myself. Had special tiny terminals. Used a special crumpet, borrowed from the Freightliner in Youngstown. Took care of the problem. Pdmi was in 2000, I’ve got one on my 2000. 99 May not have it.
