No, they still have it. Dometic, whch makes RV refrigerators, awnings, and other things for the industry. A few drivers came over to our place, we paid better, and no micromanaging.

Put your safety cones out every time you stop.
Make sure you do a walk around every time you move truck.
Don't climb on flatbed unless you use the special ladder.
They tell you what routes to take and where to stop for safety check.
Plan on spending more time sleeping in the truck. -
Looks like I got out of Cardinal just in time. I remember when we took over their half of the shared account in Shelbyville KY. They immediately fired all of their drivers and we had to wait 30 days before we could hire any of them. There were a lot of unhappy Ryder guys. I imagine quite a few of the guys I used to work with will be leaving soon. I wonder how they beat the Knight boys from buying them out....

from there, Ryder had jobs each and every day, and they had such a revolving door, i knew that was more than a "red flag" job.
i did work for Ryder at another account, then they lost that too, and i ended up working for Lily....
but what i did know from CVS drivers was that, you went out with a trailer, and hoped it was loaded right, but never was. you sometimes had to return to a stop, to off load something in the nose, that should have been at the tail.
then too, once you emptied out? you HAD to go back for another loaded trailer
even CVS drivers were ticked off at the Ryder management, and many took thier retirements, rather than to sign on with Ryder, or stayed as a CVS driver, and Ryder could not touch them..Lonesome Thanks this.
