I put in an application for Ryder about a week ago. They give you the ability to login and check the status of your application, but it's just been "under review" for like a week now. I can't seem to find any sort of recruiting number to contact them. In fact they don't seem to offer an appropriate numbers in regards to recruiting on their site.

I usually like to call a few days to a week after submitting an app just to see how things are going and to put a voice to my name, but what should I do here? Just wait it out and check my application status every day?

"under review" means it's being processed. Might take a week or two. I've put in apps, waited two weeks, went elsewhere then got a call from original co 3 weeks later, saying I'm hired. Too bad co's can't keep you informed. Who wants to wait 3 weeks only to be told you're NOT hired.

I did the same with Ryder...Two seperate applications for the same job in a 6 month span...I e-mailed the recruiter a few times and never got a response. Called her number 3 times and kept getting the "You've reached a voicemail box that is full"...So apparently this recruiter isn't too worried about finding quality drivers so I took that as a sign and gave up with Ryder.

I'm trying to get with Airgas out of Richmond, Virginia. Just took my hazmat test for the first time and failed. Stupid DMV and the choose the more right answer, FML. I'm wondering how long until health insurance starts and do they have automatic trucks. I tried manual and just don't have the brain for it.
