I am not a trucker. I am an RV driver. In Feb. of this year I broke down near El Campo, TX. I called my Good Sam Travel Assistance and they had me towed into Gene's. For three days they walked around scratching their heads because as the mechanic told he didn't know Cummins engines.
I called Good Sam again and they had my unit towed to Rush Trucking Center in Sealy, TX. who.. determined that my engine had overheated and needed to be replaced. Robert, the head mechanic, informed me that they had located a block at Cummins in nearby Houston and that i needed to send them $12,000 as a down payment. I did this and they cashed my check 3 days later.I called a few days later when I was told that Cummins had sold the block to someone else!
I have not heard from Rush since!. I sent a letter to their corporate headquarter bu I have not had the courtesy of a reply.
I post his to warn anyone that considers repair at a Rush facility to reconsider unless you have a lot of timeon your hands.
