Rush Peterbilt Lake City, FL

So my rear went out in LakeCity, FL on Wednesday. Couldn't find anyone else to get me in right away.
I was able to flip the differential lock and limp it to Rush Peterbilt. Told them that my front rear was making noise, the drive shaft was turning but the rear drive shaft was not.
Brought my truck in first thing Thursday morning, it took them until today around 230pm to finely get it out. I told them on Thursday if I need a rear just order it, as I want to limit my down time. They they found one in Jacksonville. But because they didn't order it when I suggest them to, they are tell me it won't be finished until Tuesday. So as you can imagine, I am not very happy...

 

Sounds about right. I replaced both of my rear about 6 or 7 years a go, with brand new ones. A buddy of mine and I did them each in a day. And it takes them a day and a half just to get one rear out.

 

****AN UPDATE TO MY NIGHTMARE****

On Monday the 24th, the rear did not get to the shop until after 3pm. On Tuesday the 25th, they realized that they ordered the wrong one, and of course the correct rear doesn't arrive until after lunch. I was assured that my truck would be finished on Wednesday the 26th so I checked out of the hotel, and a 6pm when they were closing they informed me that now my truck won't be done until Thursday the 27th. So now it is one full week to put in a front rear.... And if that isn't enough, it took 2 hours to prepare my bill!

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BRING YOUR TRUCK TO RUSH PETERBILT IN LAKE CITY, FLORIDA!!!! UNLESS OF COURSE YOU WANT TO BE SCREWED OVER.
IF MY TRUCK BROKEDOWN IN FRONT OF THIS PLACE I WOULD HAVE IT TOWED SOMEWHERE ELSE!

 

If I break down and a rush truck center is my only option, I will pay to have my truck towed back to Maryland.

 

Now after approximately 2600 miles, the wheel seal on the axle that they replaced the rear is leaking. Instead of cleaning the wheel bearings on the axle, I had new bearing kits installed.

 

It turns out that the safety ring that holds on the hub nut came off because it was installed incorrectly. This caused the hub nut to back off and the wheel to become loose and the wheel seal to fail. Thankfully the wheel didn't come off and hurt someone.
