Just so they aren't recaps, they'll have a bit more resistance than steers and make a little more noise, I don't see a problem. I've heard that some states don't allow steers on all positions though. I think Oregon is one of them.

Perfectly fine..... hence all positions

There are some intermodal companies in Houston that do it. They don’t get much winter weather so there’s no harm in it, if you buy lots of tires for multiple units it simplifies that, gives you more options in rotating tires, the only concern I’d have is if I operated in an area that gets winter weather and having an all position on my drives, may not get good traction.

Just steers, wouldnt use them for drivers. Thanks for the input

All position tires are steer tires?? Are you asking about trailer tires if so I know a guy who will never try that again he had a blowout with a almost new trailer tire.. they told him it’s not designed for the flexing in the steer position
-
No, they have specific trailer tires, and they have all position.

That's why they call them all position tires. You can use them anywhere no problems. That's really what a steer tire itself is, an all position tire. Trailer tires I would not use for a steer.magoo68 Thanks this.
