I worked for them as a co-driver in the late 80's.
During the busy season all trucks had to run team and they would run your butt off. When it slowed down they would lay off the co-drivers and the lead-drivers got to run solo. Pay was very good but seasonal unless you could get to that upper tier and have your own assigned truck.
I thought I had it made when i got on the Edmonton-Yellowknife Sched Run pulling a 53' tridem refer until freight slowed down and another guy with more seniority bumped me for the job.
After that I started running south and haven't been back up north ever since. They have a end dump road building division also but i would stay away from that. They bring drivers up from the south and put them up in camps so they don't have to pay the going wages for the local people whose cost of living is much higher.
Now, having said all that things may have changed a lot there in the past 20 years. lol -
Actually after reading a little on their website everything looks to be run pretty much the same these days. Just keep in mind that it will not be full time year round work at first until you gain some seniority.
