any body runs from K.C. to Dallas?? on 71, to 44, to 69/75? this route sucks!! ive researched it. 35 all the way is a better route. faster, shorter and more efficient. why in the heck do some companies keep routing 71, 44, 69/75 to dallas KC this route is stop and go all the way, through little podunk towns, limited speeds, bad roads? is it suppose to be a shorter route? its not its longer in miles and time. and less efficient. oh yeah i forgot about tolls more tolls on 35

You answered your own question there.

Tolls is one of the reasons truck companies route around them.

I always took I 35 when I was going to dallas from there. The toll is only like 7 bucks or something if I remember right. Makes no sense not to take 35.

So did I. Found out later, the tolls were not reimbursed since it was out of route.

I'm sure you would burn up more then 7 bucks worth of fuel by not going down I35. Like spending dollars to save pennies, kind of dumb.

Not the only route they have done that on. Some of the other routing, the tolls and permits amount to almost 100.00. This then comes out of pocket.

I have driven that 69/75 many times. The best time to drive it is at night. Most of the lights going thru the towns are flashing yellow. I have driven I-44 MO/OK stateline to 69/75 OK/TX stateline in 4-4.5 hours. Yeah, I stayed on it and didn't look back.....

I run 71-44-69/75 because the waitresses are a lot cuter than the ones they have on I-35.

Everything else is secondary to cute (friendly) waitresses & good food (not necessarily in that order) when choosing routes.
