Hello everyone. Just wanted to share with you all something that I spotted today at Walmart. Honestly I waited for so long for Shell to finally bring in the market let's say a synthetic oil T6 15w40 not the 5w40 that we all know about. Only that is a new product and Walmart had only 5 jugs of 1 gal. priced at 22$. Really want to see this T6 in 15w40 more available in the future and a convenient price like around 18-20$. for gal. I do have a 04 ACCERT C15 which really likes Rotella T5 15w40 really good fuel mileage truck has 1.2 million miles no overhaul yet.
Rotella T6 15w40 ?? Best oil for CAT ?

Leopard Thanks this. -
you pay $22 a gallon and you want it to be $18?
I had to get a gallon at TSC, $28 a gallon for t6, walmart was out. I ordered two cases because I use it in every vehicle except the prius.Leopard Thanks this. -
You don't have a high shear application so any VI loss is minimal anyway.
The first number is startup, when parts are "dry" it'll affect it the most.... This is also where the majority of engine wear comes from. You WANT quick oil flow to moving parts, not thick oil.
The second number is the running/hot viscosity.. The "40"
The two viscosity measurements are from tests taken at their respective temperatures, they are not tested the same temp and this confuses most people.Leopard Thanks this. -
