Roehl Transport Inc. has purchased a warehouse and office building in the West Valley for $2 million it intends to use as its West Coast operational headquarters.
The 8,000-square-foot property sits on 7.3 acres at 4909 W. Lower Buckeye Road in Phoenix.
Roehl, based in Marshfield, Wis., previously operated only a small vehicle storage yard in Tolleson. New jobs will be created by the opening of the new facility, but representatives at Roehl were not available to elaborate.

Used to live in Phoenix and have considered returning. This might push me in that direction.

I think this is great news. It is nice to see Roehl is growing, and I will be more than happy to make runs to Phoenix where I have a lot of family.

was at that yard a few weeks back, there working out of it and have just about moved out of the Navajo yard. but theres no shop, no fuel island, and unless the fms are there no bathrooms. im sure it will be better once they get it fully up in running, but being there over night kinda sucked. theres a lot of empty yard space so once they figure out what they want to use it for it will be nice.

they have shop bays, but no tools, little parts and no mechanics as of yet. (unless its been in the last 2 weeks) I had to get a repair done on the tractor i picked up and had to go back to the Navajo yard and have them do it. once its up and running it looks like it will be nice, but theres still a lot that needs to get put over there
