I was wondering what type of training they give flatbedders just starting out? I talked with a recruiter at Roehl today and she stated with my experience I would not have to go with a trainer. All my experience has been intrastate though and all double belly dump, and was wondering what type of securement training they give you. I have never pulled a flatbed and would be a bit nervous about making a securement error.

They have I believe a 3 day course for securement training you need to go through.
blue T Thanks this. -
and all your trainer time will be with a FB trainer

4 days of securement and then a week with a local flatbedder to get some practice. The training really is good compared to what I hear other companies do.

Being a flat bedder is hard work! I wouldn't want to do it!

I was told by the recruiter that with my ten years of driving experience I would not have to go with a trainer, allthough my experience is intrastate and belly dump. Was she lying to me?
-
No they may send you with a local flat bedder. They normally send everyone unless your exp flatbedder. I think your recruiter meant you wont have to go out with a driver trainer. Its only a week and they will pay you same as securement training does.
