Have a 2012 386. The rocker switch for my backup lights has stopped working. Can someone tell me how to remove it from the dash? I have a couple not being used and thought I couls swap them. Thanks.

If your dash is the same as the '06 379 I'm driving, replacing the switches should be fairly easy.

    Switches on right side:
Remove the plastic strip that is above the radio. This piece should pull off easy enough with just your hands, there may also be a piece of the left side of that panel as well that needs to come off.
Once that is removed, you should see the screws holding the bottom half (where the switches are located).
Once that piece is loose, you can access the back of the panel. The switches should be able to push out through the front by squeezing the two tabs on the top/bottom of switch.

For the switches on the left side of the steering wheel, I'm not sure how to access the rear of that panel yet as I haven't had to do anything over there yet. I'm assuming it is a similar procedure though.

    CondoCruiser Thanks this.

Being a 2012 there is probably another problem. But you can access the back of the switch and with a tester determine if it's before, after or the switch itself. Have you checked the fuse?

But GM is correct. You have to remove the panel and squeeze the tabs together.

Run new power from the fuse block to a toggle mounted under the on the bottom of the dash, toggle on toggle off. Then you don't have to mess with issues under there.
