I have a international 2007 model 8600. It has a cummins Ism engine. My rocker box is leaking oil. I was told by my shop that they have to take out a lot of parts and put new o rings on the injectors. My question are How many labor hours should this take ? I also wanted to know is there anything else I should replace since its im pulling apart a lot part. Or should I do a inframe . any advice is apprciated.

Sounds to me me like you need a different shop. Pulling injectors to repair an external oil leak? Did you misstate something?
Those are fun to work on. I do not have a labor guide by my recliner but could see 10 hours to replace injector o-rings and adjust everything.

Yes u have to pull injectors, solenoids hang over part of intake built in rocket box. I would say 4 to 6 hrs depending on what else is mounted on motor

I have not done one of those in 4 or 5 years. If it has the automatic transmission shifter that has to be removed before the dog box. Then remove the wipers and panel below the windshield. Plus the air filter housing. Just the R&R on that is about 4 to 6 hours for me before the real work begins.
Seems like Cline is correct I retract my statement about your shop. I never just repaired a leaking gasket was always going deeper.

I'm being totally sarcastic. Rocker box oil leak is down to the bare head. 2007 will be an egr ISM with EGR EGR cooler and all that is part of the rocker box housing. Yes, rear engine cover has to come out, normally wiper cowl too. It's a big job, longer than a day. 4-6 hours is a joke and nothing but corner cutting and sloppy work. Anyone quoting that low has no idea what they are doing and would never touch an engine of mine!

Yea they told me it was a big job I was wondering since I’m going down to the bear head should I change the head gasket or anything I haven’t never had no engine work done on this truck

You think it will be like a 15 to 20 hour job ?

I have already said too much, LOL. All these questions do is start arguments. It's about 15. 20 is too high, but 12 seems low too. Sometimes they come apart nicer than others. I would stop here for further repairs because if you want to go farther, you get a reman head and do 6 pistons and liners while you are there too to make it a full overhaul.

    BoxCarKidd and spsauerland Thank this.

I always replace injector wiring harness and RTV around pass-thru connector when doing the rocker box. Oil will leak past the wire seals.

    BoxCarKidd and Heavyd Thank this.
