Well it's that time of year can't believe it's been a year in business so my commercial road-side assistance is due for annual renewal. Currently I have coverage from Road Side Masters Commercial. I get all the basic services, jump starts lock-outs, flat tire repair and so on. As for towing I get up to 20 miles or nearest repair facility and this is up to four tows a year. I also have an add-on for my trailer that covers flat-tire repair and up to $50 for tire replacement.
I have used the service twice this year once for a lock-out (don't laugh) and once for a jump start because I forgot to shut off my power inverter and it ran for 48 hours. Anyway the cost is $399.00 for the year just for the truck and an additional $299.00 for the trailer. Normally the trailer is more but due to having electric/hydraulic brakes and a spare tire that can be changed without the need of extra work that comes with semi trailer tires.
I have checked out providers like Paragon and a couple other but of course they all want you to fill out a form and they will contact me with a quote. I'm not really in the mood to have sales calls all day.
So my question's are
What are some of the road-side service providers all of you use, if your an O/O?
What is the cost per year?
Do they cover trailers up to 36 feet?
Do any of them have on-site mechanical repairs light duty ?
Thanks guys. I have 90 days from today until it expires so it's not a super rush order but as you know sometimes schedules can get crazy and before you know it, the expiration date has come and gone.
Have a great night everyone, stay safe, keep on trucking

To me it seems like alot of money for what they cover.I think you would be money ahead to take care of your own tires and usually you can find someone to jump you if you have cables and offer them 20 or 30 bucks!!Im not big into all those type of services as I hate waiting around for someone to help when I can do everything myself. Some preventative maint and good pre trips will go along way in saving you time and money.Good luck in your search.Sorry I couldnt help with what your lookin for...

I've found AAA to be pretty good and I say that both having used them and worked for them as a contractor. They have several tiers to choose from that include lockout, jump start, tire change, fuel delivery and towing. The first few (basic, plus, premier I think it was) would cover just your truck. If you got the RV coverage, which I think is only available on the premier level, tire changes and towing is covered for your trailer as well. I don't know what the cost is offhand, somewhere around a few hundred a year for top tier I believe, but certainly less than the $700 you pay now. You could save even more money and just get regular plus or premier for the benefits you'd probably use most and pay out of pocket for the trailer if you need towing.
I recommend them if for no other reason than they have a very extensive network of providers for quick response times and you won't be waiting on hold forever when you call. They do have shops they can recommend, though a Google search of the area is just as quick. Oh, and with the plus and premier levels, you get up to 100 and 200 miles free towing respectively.Ryan S2016 Thanks this. -
Stay away from NAL. They suck. When my Powerstroke croaked on the 401 they took forever to arrange the tow, I had to pay up front, then they had excuses why they couldn't reimburse me. I did fight enough to get some money out of them, but not the full amount of the tow.
I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.Ryan S2016 Thanks this.
