RITE AID has a DC here in Aberdeen, MD. I know they a real popular on the east coast. We have them in Ohio too, but not like the east coast. They must be doing pretty good see a lot of there trucks. I know a number of years ago they were not doing so good. Any how what do you guys know if anything about them?

We've got the stores here too. They bought out Payless many years ago. Don't know anything about them though.

Rite Aid uses different carriers. I think Ryder delivers for them, as well as Walgreens. There's a big distrbution plant in Morrisville PA, right next to the railyard, and I think Volpe delivers for them. CPC Logisistics delivers for Walgreens. From what I've seen, it's all Liftgate deliveries. They get paid I think and $21-24 an hour.
Mike2633 Thanks this. -
I've seen JB Hunt DCS tractors pulling Rite Aid trailers. Also went past a Rite Aid DC in Southern WV (Poca??) a few times, but that's all I can offer..

Unrelated, but ' welfare ' ie: medicaid and maybe even medicare "?" is no longer filling/paying scripts out of Walgreens. Rite Aid is gonna be busy soon here in Ohio, man! Not sure if it's nationwide; but for sure in Ohio started 8/1. Be safe, bro!

JB Hunt pulls their trailers a lot. Before they pulled their classic bait and switch on me I tried to get on that account.

Walgreens now owns Rite Aid...so changes in the air

Not to hijack the thread but,
Not real sure just how I feel about this. Used to be that Walgreens was all about service, but I think they have changed their ways over the past few years. I stopped using them altogether, and I've got a friend who manages the pharmacy in one of them. We just don't discuss his work at all... -
And to address Tomcat, Medicaid now restricts patients to 90 doses of any prescribed pain medicine a month period. If the Medicaid patient wants to use 120 pills or 160 or whatever it is a month they will have to dump medicaid at the office and pay hard cash to the pain doctor in full to bypass Medicaid. Which means there will be less food on the table for them it's around 120 to 500 dollars for name brand pain medicines each month. -
It's funny you post this. I had 6 of them yesterday. I even commented to the girl scanning me in that they were kicking butt in the past few months. She told me they're working with their national vendors on sales, specifically the wording of the ads, and it's really paying off.
On my end, they're kind of a pain, but they're VERY nice to deal with so its worth the extra work. As you know, the high profit items tend to be much more work, so the company's happy. We're happy we get to deal with people that treat us well.
So overall, I'm happy to see Rite-Aids seperating themselves from the pack a littleMike2633, G13Tomcat, Sho Nuff and 1 other person Thank this.
