No doubt
my little company has been using his services for years..
not much he cant take care of -
If you don't mind me asking what did you purchase from him? Mileage on the motor?? Cost of the engine??
-
2004 Cummins ISX 450 510000 miles
$8500.00 -
4g for 94 3406e
Not sure about cost but comp has gotten several rebuilt grannys and rears there too. -
Just gave the name and number to another driver looking for Cummins N14, old him to go down there and see Greg! These guys have at least 15 to 20 of those engines on hand. Place is unreal on how many motors and other parts you might need and at a good price.Again....cannot go wron with the parts and they also ship parts to anywhere you want then to go.

Great info! I'll have to check them out, esp when I get ready to swap rear ends.

Beware of these guys. I bought an N14 that lasted about 6 weeks. When they looked into it they used the fact that the water pump went out after 4 weeks to refuse to fix my truck. It ran fine after I replaced the water pump until it blew. This guy is nothing but a junk dealer that does not stand behind his work.

how long did you run it hot after the water pump went out cant blame that on the man that sold the used motor to you

Sorry to here you had that experience. I used to do a lot of business with him and the man is Richard. Made an assumption of Gregg being his son one time. He replied no he is not but I would be proud if he was. He buys a lot of insurance wrecks, junk?
These things I speak of are to the best of my memory and may have changed. Used engines had the pan pulled, inspected, bearings replaced and come with a 30 day warranty. Get it to them and they will fix or replace it. If it takes you 3 weeks to get it on the road you only have a 1 week warranty. Trans and rear pull outs were 30 days. Remans were 6 months. Last time I went there I was suprised. There is a new building for engines. Detroit, Cat, and Cummins in rows. The old building now has drive units in rows and a couple other buildings off to the side. One looked to have a lot of radiators in it. At least 3 acres of concrete.
The only time I would buy a used engine is if the crank or block were bad. Not talking about counter bores.
If it had to be inframed 8 months later all that would be much less expensive than a reman engine less core. I am not so sure of that thanking with engines newer than N14's.
What was your warranty and what is your definition of blew?
Not saying I never had a problem but they lived up to their warranty for me.Oxbow Thanks this.
