RGN usually pays more. RGN is more likely to be oversized load.

Buy the RGN,,many loads are drive on drive off,,much quicker getting unloaded .Stay away from XL stecialized trailers,,real junk, go talk to Doonan trailer in Kansas great trailers and they bend over backwards to keep customers happy, also get out riggers on the trailer

Mr. Celery.............you're not a trucker...............so why do you care??? LOL............seriously.........this question is......pretty broad. "RGN vs. step"..........they are not really the same beast....at ALL. Very different markets. Some....SOME overlap in freight but not a lot. Use the search feature on here to aquire some rudimentary knowledge and THEN ask the questions perhaps.

Couple points: Doonan makes a #### nice step. But RGN?? The only RGN they make (to my knowledge) is a mechanical detach double drop..........and frankly there aren't many of them on the road. Carl, Rontonio, or Haulhand could point him in the right direction on an RGN.....

I don't really think the OP has any idea what he's asking......:biggrin_25513:
