I'm a big guy and I love good food. We all know that its harder and harder to find a good sit down restaurant that has truck parking or is near truck parking. I've been wanting to create a list for a while because I've found a few good restaurants (and some not so good) that you can park a truck at or at least near to get a meal. Feel free to add to the list but please use a similar format and include directions if necessary. What I will do is I will put all the restaurants listed in a google spreadsheet and share the link (Restaurants with/near Truck Parking). It will have all the restaurants with links to the map of where they are at. Please Please Please do not list fast food crap. I'll throw out my top five:
Brook Shaw's Old Country Store in Jackson TN. Its part of Casey Jones Village and used to be relatively easy to get into. They are reconstructing the road that goes to it. They have half paved the upper level where trucks park. Its harder to get in (and out) now. To get out you have to take the right along the service road to the red light and another right (Old Hickory Blvd) and turn around in the grocery store (Surplus Warehouse) on the left.
The House of Seafood in Bush LA. A little seafood place hidden out in the middle of nowhere but has some of the best seafood and a huge buffet. There is limited parking here. There is a closed gas station across the street and a larger gas station on the corner where I have asked and received permission to park.
Trainer's Midway Diner in Bethel PA. I have not actually went inside to eat the various times I've stopped here but I do know that if you need parking on I78 near New Jersey that the TA and Pilots are notoriously full. I have always found a parking spot here at the diner.
El Mexicano Restaurant in Salina UT. Good food with a huge amount of parking.
50,000 Silver Dollar in Haugan MT. Had a great fish basket here. Lots of souvenirs and interesting stuff. Had an old fashioned in the bar (wasn't great). Lots of parking.

I google maps what I wanna eat. And I make sure my truck fits there or in the area. That’s how I do it. I’m sick of truck stop food to be honest. And lately it’s been worse and worse
IluvCATS Thanks this. -
