The under volt shutdown circuit is on the truck itself... on my truck the heater is hardwired to the batteries, if the low volts cuts off the heater will keep going, it doesn't use hardly any juice.

I love my espar. I've never had one until the winter of 2020-21. I've been driving over 30 years and I froze to death a lot because I refuse to idle and waste $$$$.

Anyway, you have to maintain it like everything else. My runs like a champ.

I can't wait until spring so I can do maintenance on it for next winter.

    It's better then sliced bread.

    Take care

Those heaters get abused because drivers don’t properly shut them down before starting the truck. Shut heaters off before turning key on. If not heater maybe in a fueling cycle and unburned fuel builds up in burner chamber and next time when glow pin ignites it causes issues. slso run the heater monthly to exercise it even in summer.
change fuel filter yearly by fuel tank. my heater is over 6 years old and with basic maintenance and care never have an issue. The heaters are great but most pe Don take the time to read the books or understand the operation. Then ##### and moan when they don’t work. Rebuilt hundreds of those heaters. Simple to fix

    Do
yourself a favor and run it monthly for at least 5 min at max heat and then shut it down and let it cycle thru shut down sequence. Before turning the key on. Turning the key on in most trucks cuts the power to the heater and it will not shut down properly. Also don’t short cycle the heaters by getting impatient as many do If the heater doesn’t fire the first time. They will last years with a little TLC and maintenance
