Researching companies that have NC terminals that hire new graduates

    I'm trying to get a leg up on my researching companies with NC terminals that hire new drivers. @Chinatown can ya help me here. I know you dah.man to talk to. Anyone else is more than welcome to put on their two cents.
    I need companies in NC that'll hire new grads and will allow pets. I'm just trying to get researching on these companies done while I start school so that I can get the application processes ready and get all my ducks in a row. I'm NOT looking for flatbed or team setups. If anyone has any advice.on anything, PLEASE HELP!!!!. YALL ARE MY VIRTUAL LIFELINE!!!!!!

    There's plenty that allow pets, but not all in North Carolina. They hire North Carolina drivers, but the headquarters are in other states.

    You do realize -- regardless of which starter carrier hires you -- "Fido" &/or "Whiskas" won't be along for the ride....while you are out on a trainer's truck ( ~ 2 weeks -- or more)? o_O

    I was in OP's shoes at end of November 2024. Got my CDL Thanksgiving week, started orientation with Western 1st week of December. In my own truck 12 days later and had my dogs with me a week later.

    Magnum and Halvor were my preferred companies but they did not have openings for new drivers at that time.

    I had no illusion that Western Express would be great. It stinks. But keep in mind it is a 1st job. Put in 6 months to a year then move on.

    Knight Transportation has a terminal in Charlotte -- & allows pets (AFTER a new driver's training period).
