It appears not all companies simply offer the grayhound experience as I have been provided a rental car. This is great news.

Remember to log the driving time and take your 10 hour breaks and drive no more than 11 hours in 24. 15 minute pretrip, 30 minute logged lunch break and safety tire checks plus pull over and check the brakes with the big trucks on the big hills, log the time you be putting fuel in the car too, and another 15 minute post trip otherwise you'll be answering to the man.
Balakov100, CAXPT and ncfinfn Thank this. -
Ask if the rental car comes with PrePass..
scottied67 Thanks this. -
Thanks guys ill do all of the above. Its just vegas to phoenix so its not a crazy trip but a first.class flight would have been wonderful.

Not to be cynical but I'm surprised if they rented a car, that you weren't expected to drive to X, Y and Z to pick up a few more drivers for orientation.
scottied67, Big Don and Balakov100 Thank this. -
Sweet deal man! Riding the ol' bus kind of sucks! I know a lot of companies will let you fly too. You just will be reimbursed for the flight up to the cost of a normal bus ticket. Usually isn't too much more expensive but well worth it!

Sequoia, he'd have to have the passenger endorsement for that.

They gave me a rental car but it did not have cruise control. 73 in a 55. Cost me 451 dollars to get it taken care of.

Driving a rental is line 4. If your not employed yet, its pursueing your own interest and is line 1. What your driving is not a cmv and has no dot #. Try putting line 3 without a power number on your log.....
scottied67 Thanks this.
