Will I get into trouble if I remove the passenger seat to make more space?

    Get in trouble with who?

    Owner of truck?
    DOT?
    IRS?
    The Illuminati?
    The seat manufacturer?
    Your significant other?

Prime, Inc. lets their drivers do that, so you, as an 0/0 probably can.

    Don't start second guessing yourself.

If you can't stun them with science, baffle them with BS.

Nope. You're fine then. glad you asked.

I'd remove both and replace with milk crates for the added weight savings.

To answer seriously - if it's your truck, go for it. If it's the bosses - ask him/her.

Many LTL companies specced trucks with either a fixed non-air-ride seat, or none at all.

Many guys I know remove and replace with a cooler/fridge etc.

my last company charged me for the price of the seat to remove it from the truck. the biggest issue I could see from dot if you put a refrigerator there it should be secured somehow. but dot really don't care about the inside
