Good input, I didn’t put much thought into how it could be done but now that you mention it I could do some cutting if need be and fabricate my own floor to seal it back up. I’m going to put in a wood flooring that is gonna be easier to clean than the rubber floor. where the bottom bunk was I can have something more homely, put some steel brackets for any furniture so it doesn’t slide around. This is my truck by the way I’m not some wack job chopping up a company truck!

Lowe’s has a good click and lock vinyl floor, I forget the name, but it has padding already on it. And looks exactly like hardwood. The framing under my Classics bunk is simply plywood.I can cut out the center, leaving a small compartment on right side for hvac, and left side for sidebox access. I’m thinking of a futon, as mentioned. From Walmart. Black vinyl, with fold down armrest in middle with cup holders. Only $130

This is a crazy idea but why can't you buy a (or some) large piano hinge(s), mount it (them) to the bunk and the rear wall and have a fold-up bunk?

That would be ideal, my 84” bunk has a full size bed, no upper bunk, cabinets against back wall.My wife runs with Me, larger bed is a waste of space, having the same floor space as a 70” and no storage area.Freightliner cabinets are all but useless.A little planning and time, possibilities are endless,

I plan on adding something like that to my 2015 freightliner in the future.

I didn't read this entire thread so my reply might be redundant but I did this build. Tore out the bottom bunk insulated the floor lay some carpet, install the flip down table, counter with a sink and running water. I found an old Lincoln Town Car passenger seat that I installed as my lounge chair, next to my fridge storage and microwave. I also took out the passenger seat and install some more storage and the trash can there. Message me at @vanleu22 on Instagram for progress pictures and the final result pictures

The newer Cascadias plagiarized the Vulva's work center now. Their bottom bunk converts to table, etc.
