Hi I am new to trucking. I am wondering do anyone know of any jobs that I can do while I’m OTR ? Like remote jobs etc. I really need some extra money so I’m searching for an alternative job that I can do to pay off some debt.

If OTR, you'll barely have enough time to eat, sleep, fuel, and shower.

FMCSA regs require that paid jobs aside from CDL driving count as on duty time, so driving even a 500 mile day wouldn't leave you enough time to drive and "work remote".

@Chinatown is our resident job finder and reformed sneak master. He might offer a suggestion or two or three.

Perhaps some secret shopper app can earn you a dollar while you're in the sleeper berth.

Well seeing you are new, we need you to focus on the work, not other work. This is not a job where you have time to take for some side job, you need to take time to learn the work.

Hi Nikki, welcome aboard. Ridgeline is right, trucking offers very little time to do much else. If you aren't making enough to pay off the bills with just one job, other "adjustments" in lifestyle may be needed, for a while. Besides, you get done trucking, the last thing you want to think about in your off time, is more work. The only exception would be a partner in an unrelated business, usually the kiss of death, or some internet fiasco that runs itself. I read turnover in trucking is huge, and the underlying reason is pay. I've learned, ( the hard way) , it's not what you make, but what you spend. Good luck, SIMPLIFY,,,man!
