It’s making a bunch of stops and deliveries of ice, driver-unload. Ice is heavy and the back of that truck is cold, sums up what you’d be doing

If you aren't into actually WORKING, it probably isn't the job for you. $23.50/hr is nothing to scoff at, though, depending where you live.

    tscottme and COBB2070 Thank this.

For $23.50/hr I'd hump ice all day. At least you have a way to keep cool.....lol

The problem with those type of jobs is the same as a beverage/beer driver. Dealing with every jackoff gas station manager who barely speaks English and does everything to try and get freebies. Or takes his/her time to hold you up as long as possible. Worst job I ever had, beer distributing.

Around Missouri there’s an ice distributor I can’t remember if it’s this company you’re asking about or not, but I’ve never seen tandems slid forward so far on a trailer. Some set ups the ICC bar is like a foot off the ground they’re up so far. All I can say is watch out for tail swing if that’s the case there.

I'd rather run a concrete pump truck than hump ice for $23.50/hr

That's one of the big problems with food & beverage; store employees and owners wanting "free samples."
I was delivering to a grocery store in Georgia and one of the stock clerks kept bugging me for free 2 liter bottles of orange soda. He was trying to be threatening; "If you want your bills signed; pay up."
I told him; "OK, that's a good idea, go in the freezer and get me a couple half gallons of ice cream and we'll be even." He was furious, but never bothered me again. I made it a game; try to do something to cause trouble for me and I'd short them a few hundred dollars worth of merchandise. I didn't keep it though; I'd take it back to the warehouse and tell the receiver, "This stuff was on the truck and didn't have a store sticker on it." If it was late at night and the warehouse receiver wasn't there, Id leave it by his desk with no explanation, so he didn't know where it came from and put it back in stock.
