Hello:
New to the forum, I apologize if this is covered elsewhere. I've seen some trailers (maybe trucks also - memory isn't what it ought to be) with small green and red lights on the front. Lights are visible from the side & front. They remind me of port & starboard navigational lights on boats. What are they for? Is green always on the same side and red on the other?
Thanks,
Howard

It's a light tied to a reefer unit to let the driver know the unit is working, or if there is a problem.
ewill71 Thanks this. -

A quick look in the mirror lets driver know if the unit is working correctly and what the unit is currently doing. The unit must maintain a constant temp heating, cooling, defrost, ect.

Letting everybody that is working properly instead not working. If they stop working what I will do is pull over and look what's wrong with the trailer. That's why you see lights on trailers.

Amber on the reefer light means it is time to add fuel or oil to some drivers lol
