So I graduated from Smith & Solomon Commercial Driver Training with my CDL class A (no restrictions but also no endorsements yet) on 05/21/2024. I reside in Philadelphia, PA and i’ve been looking for companies that are willing to train and hire me. I’ve heard the good, bad, and the ugly with companies like swift, werner, US Xpress, etc. I’m mainly looking for a dedicated Regional position. I know my options are limited due to no experience but just been trying to not put myself in a bad position by rushing into the wrong company. Any advice on how to get started would be greatly appreciated.

Can't help if we don't know your location; state and nearest city/town. Guess you're in the Northeast somewhere.

In case you didn't already know -- the CDL job market is REAL-LY BAD right now -- especially for drivers with little or no previous experience.
Most carriers that hire fresh students from CDL schools have stopped doing that -- & now want 3 - 6 months experience (or more)...or have switched to hiring teams.
There are simply too many trucks & drivers chasing too little freight right now.
Which carriers (if any) visited your class while you were in that CDL school?
Which carriers (if any) have worked/partnered with that school....to place/employ drivers upon their successful graduation?
