Hello I need some help/advice I've had my CDL A for a little over a year and a half on August 6th of this year I got into an accident and the company immediately let me stating because of safety reasons I take full responsibility of what happened and and not trying to place blame else where I was luckily the only person involved and no other cars were around so what happened was I was on the freeway in the early morning and it started raining as I was going into a curve I must've missed judged my speed and how wet the ground was and because of that my rear tractor tires lost traction and caused me to pretty much slide to the side of the road up a small hill then back onto the freeway hitting the Middle barrier before I stopped the tractor wasn't drivable and the only thing on the trailer that was damaged was pretty much the landing gear so the Michigan state police came out called a tow truck and wrote me as the at fault driver for crashing my own rig gave me an incident report and said he wasn't going to right me any tickets so I've been trying to find a new job but it's been hard because of the accident but the thing is I've recently got a part time job that needed to pull my mvr and the accident isn't on there at all not one mention and its been over 2 months now and I also checked my driving record a month after the accident and it was the same nothing and I've even checked my DAC report multiple times and ita nothing about me getting into the accident on there or being fired so to wrap this up I just wanna know if I should mention this on my application when a company asks about it since its not on my MVR or DAC report any advice would help sorry for the long post.

The insurance company will find it and relay it to the employer.

If it’s not on your MVR or DAC, I wouldn’t mention it.

Just because it's not on your MVR or DAC (maybe only 25% of companies use DAC) doesn't mean it didn't happen. It's almost certain any insurance company can find this incident in one of their databases. There is a good chance the event is in your PSP Report ($10 online from FMCSA). Just because you are having trouble getting hired doesn't mean you cannot work again as a driver. You just have to look harder and maybe not work for the New York Yankees of trucking right now and play A or AA-Baseball until the New York Yankees hire you later.

If the application asks "Have you EVER..." the answer is yes. If the application asks "Have you... in the last X years..." Then you should answer based on the date of the accident/incident and the X years in the question. Here's the thing. EVERY company will fire you for lying on the application even if the thing you are hiding would not have prevented you from getting hired had you informed the future employer. The future employer is required to attempt to get info about you from the employer that let you go because of the accident/incident. If you want to cover up this event you have to know what your past employer will say when asked, and you have to be 100% sure about what the insurance companies know about the incident. 100% sure, not pretty sure, not I couldn't tell if insurance companies knew or didn't know, not I don't know how to find out what insurance companies know, etc. 100% sure no information will contradict your cover-up.

My advice, shut up about it, move on, apply for any job you would like and see what happens. DAC and MVRs are not behind in posting on people's events.
