that's how i did it after the last time the hood was off. its kinda a pain to get to the bolts with the hood closed took a wobble and a really long extension if i remember right. but yeah the bolts that go threw the center of the hinge that hold the hood on are slotted for the adjustment, just left them loose enough to still be able to move them closed the hood lined it up and then tightened it down with the hood closed.
