I just fabbed this up. 3/4 in aluminum angle 22 1/4 in long for my application. 2X 5in computer fans 12volts dc (standard for computer fans) I chose comp fans as they go forever, move alot of air and are quiet and frugal (9.6 watts between the two). This is going in the screened bunk window of my prostar with no drilling or permanent marks. I could just put a plug on it for the cigarette lighter but I plan on putting switches so I can run one or both. Total cost would be $40 canadian so look at 30 US. Let me know what you think, and post any cheap mods or ways to hang your cb mic etc it would be a great thread.

great idea i use a box fan from walmart on the not so hot nights stick it between the front seat on a angle faceing back to the bunch runs all night

I was thinking of putting one of those on my side vent in my sleeper to move the hot air out. Good work. Used ones are dirt cheap.
I have a .062" steel cable from Lowe's overhead that I hang my Road King mic's hook on, since you asked. -
I tried a setup like that but found it just didnt move enough cfm. What did work great was taking the screens available at any truckstop and mounting a 12v 10" diameter automotive cooling fan with a 3 speed switch to the screen.

If you have fans in the window & no vents or other windows open, it ain't gonna move much air because there's nowhere for air to go.
I'd use as many PC fans as it takes to span across the whole window opening though. They don't move much air. -
The screened window on the opposite side us the exit of course. Just returned from mesa then tulsa and didn't run my truck at night. Wasn't too hot but alot of nights this would let me sleep with out running. I picked comp fans for the amount of air they move. I'm a computer nut and have 6 fans on my big tower at home. They are the most efficient way to move air and quiet too

I found this site a few years ago.

They have a ton of of fans all differnet sizes and power options for dirt cheap. I seen 4.75" 108 CFM fans for $5.00 on there, pair of those will make some decent airflow in a bunk. I got a 30 CFM fan to fix my welder for $3.00, Lincoln wanted $75.00 for the same fan. Plus they have a lot of other oddball things that come in handy for all kinds of projects.
