Youd be better off looking at dc fridges desinged for campers. Much less draw and you dont lose power converting from dc to ac. Amazon has a huge selection

Look at the various 12V coolers on Amazon. You want one that uses an actual compressor and not thermoelectric. I have one by Alpicool and it works great. It will go down I think to 6 degrees. It just plugs into a standard 12v cigarette lighter style outlet in your truck and uses about 45 watts when the compressor is running.

 

You won't be using an inverter at all for this

 

Ummm, your truck is DC power. No inverter needed.

There is no difference in a freezer and a deep freezer. Deep freezer is a colloquialism.

Any modern DC (12v) fridge from Amazon or anywhere else can be used as a freezer. They all can be turned down to 0 degrees or lower, they just run more/use a little more power.

 

Do you really need a freezer? I stop every 4-5 days at a grocery and stock up on meat and fruit and vegetables and the fridge works just fine. I keep a selection of canned and dried food as well for emergencies.

I haven’t eaten fast food in maybe 4 years. Not even once in those years. No chips in maybe 18 months. No candy in about a year. Soda only when Im visiting with friends and family. Do it. Get through the first few weeks and you’ll never look back.

Not worrying about how you will eat when it comes time to find parking is enough reason to do it.

Built in fridge, microwave, coffee maker, air fryer, and newly acquired rice cooker is all I use.

Id be interested in trying a Insta pot and maybe a slow cooker and put it in a large tote and let it cook while I’m driving but haven’t tried those yet.
